The virtual assisting practice for Janet L.
Jordan, Master Virtual Assistant, dates back to 1980. Long
before the term "virtual assistant" was coined or the
internet existed. As a widowed,
single parent, Jordan (then Langford), raised two small children doing
home based secretarial work. The latest technology then was an
Osborne portable computer (25+ lbs.), a printer and a telephone. Her clients
consisted of insurance agents, speakers and other road warriors who
needed an expert in typing, travel arrangements and customer relationship management.
She's married again, the kids have changed.
They're grown now, but one thing remains the same. Excellent
customer success is still...Excellent customer success. That's
right, customer success. Her specialty is client relationship
management. Jordan's
clients now span the globe and are linked to her via the latest
voice interactive meeting rooms, internets, intranets and more.
Along with her private VWP practice
restarted in 2000, she also
trains others how to launch up-to-the-minute, compelling and relevant
virtual assistant practices. In other words, she creates leaders
in the VA industry. Her comprehensive training programs
and boot camps have quickly earned
Virtual Assistance U
recognition, as "The Benchmark For VA Training."
She collaborates with other talented
VWPs
around the world to produce "work that matters" and is recognized as
an industry leader.
Jordan's been interviewed and featured in
Self Employed America Magazine,
Entrepreneur, Black Enterprise,
The Dallas Business Journal and on WSRadio.WS.
A national public & motivational speaker for many years, she now
speaks to numerous civic and business groups about the virtual
assistant industry, and some of the VA Topics listed on the left.
She is also an instructor at FunEd in Dallas, a community based
knowledge transfer center.
